Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is pithy grapefruit, piney resin, stone fruit, caramel malt, light fruit. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering mildly bitter and slightly boozy finish. (4/5)
Maybe just slightly light in the body for the style, but on the up side, the ABV doesn’t intrude at all. Big bitterness, but it isn’t overwhelming. Malt is appropriate and supportive, without being forward. (15/20)
