Appearance: particulate-laden pale gold with one finger of rocky white head diminishing rapidly to a thin cap, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: citrus juice, biscuity malt, floral, citrus zest. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (7/10) Medium-light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry mild bitter and slightly oily finish. (4/5)
If it weren’t for the bottle saying “Grapefruit zested” I’d’ve gone with juicy orange, not grapefruit. (At least on the front end – there is some bitter, almost astringent, oily grapefruit zest in the finish.) I’ve never had the Bare Ass Blonde this is based on, but this version is lots of fun, refreshing and very easy-drinking. (14/20)
