Appearance: hazy straw with one fat finger of dense white head, excellent retention and moderate chunky lacing. (5/5) Aroma: wheat, citrus, floral, hint of banana. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, light tart. (8/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry short clean finish. (4/5)
Really enjoyed this, but after another thirsty day of working on the basement, I’m pretty easy to please. This really is good stuff, though, with a pleasantly citrusy aroma and flavours, light body, and a clean, almost minty finish. Traditional Hefe flavours are present, including wheat and a hint of banana, but balanced against a much lighter citrusy note, making it more refreshing than the style normally is. (16/20)
