Appearance: hazy pale gold with two fingers of rocky ivory head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: juicy citrus, pine, caramel, ginger. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering spicy finish. (4/5)
Some pine needles on the front end, but not a lot of ginger. There is, however, a definite lingering spice warmth in the finish. Christmas-ish, without being overly Christmas-y, if you see the distinction. Which isn’t a bad thing, by any means. This is hints of Christmas, without being full-blast. More hops, less Christmas, all the lovin’ – works for me! (15/20)
