Appearance: slightly hazy straw with two fingers of fluffy white head, good retention and moderate soapy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: grass, cereal grains, herbal, light citrus. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-low bitter. (7/10) Medium-light body, moderate carbonation, crisp short finish. (4/5)
I’m probably being a bit generous in the rating here, but it’s just such a clean interpretation of a classic. This very much is your father’s lager, but done right. Definitely very reminiscent of the beer garden at the Stampede. (15/20)
