Appearance: slightly hazy pale gold with two fingers of rocky pale ivory head, good retention and spotty soapy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: tropical fruit, citrus, cereal grains. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, short duration sweetish finish. (4/5)
They say this is their tenth collaboration with Deftones, so I appear to have missed about three. (Although, at least one of those is a Mexican Lager, so I’m not really too worked up about missing out on that one – I’m sure it’s fine, but, really…) I’m gonna say this one isn’t quite as good as the original non-hazy version, mostly because I’m finding it a touch too sweet.
