Appearance: hazy deep gold with one fat finger of rocky pale ivory head, good retention and moderate soapy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: pineapple, citrus, coconut, melon, light earthy dank. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate-lively carbonation, medium duration off-dry finish. (3/5)
Brewer notes say this is hopped with El Dorado, “HZH-101”, and Mosaic – though a little searching suggests that should maybe be “NZH-101”, which is a new ANZ hop to me. Fairly pleasant and easy to drink, with some Sabro-ish coconut notes – though it doesn’t look like the hops vendors are identifying that as a characteristic of that experimental? (14/20)
