Wills Phase – American Double / Imperial IPA at 8% ABV (C$8.35 at Collective, 473 ml, packaged on 20-May-2025, acquired 26-Jun-2025, reviewed 10-Jul-2025)
Appearance: hazy medium gold with one finger of fine pale ivory head, excellent retention and moderate soapy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: pineapple, stone fruit, citrus, cereal grains. (9/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Palate: medium body, moderate-soft carbonation, medium duration slightly warming finish. (4/5)
“Citra, Riwaka, Krush”. Hells yes, this is how to do a hazy DIPA. Smells just slightly better than it tastes, but drinks easily for the weight, with just the merest hint of warming in the finish. Slightly too sweet to be called “crushable” but damn close to that for something with this ABV. (17/20)
This will be my 6,149th unique Untappd check-in.
