Appearance: clear pinkish pale gold with a short, short-lived head and no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: floral perfume, grapefruit zest, field berries, light brine. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate tart, low bitter, light brine. (7/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry tart lightly briny finish. (4/5)

I honestly don’t know what brewers are going for when they use lavender as an adjunct. It seems to me that the best case condition is when it’s mild, as it is here, but even so it’s reminiscent of perfume. Maybe it’s just personal preference, and I suppose I have to acknowledge that this is decently well-executed overall, but I can’t say I’d go looking for another one. (14/20)
